      <description>The Court held a Grand Chamber hearing in the case of Demopoulos v. Turkey and 7 other cases. The applicants are all Cypriot nationals of Greek-Cypriot origin. They claim to be the owners of movable and immovable property located in the northern part of Cyprus, which has been occupied by the Turkish army since 1974. They allege that the Turkish authorities are preventing them from having access to this property and disposing of it as they wish.

      <title>Hearing: three applications against Moldova and Russia</title>
      <description>On 9 June the Court held a hearing in three cases concerning Moldova and Russia. Each application concerns a Romanian-language school located within the “Moldavian Republic of Transdniestria” (MRT) and is brought by a group of parents, children and teachers. The applicants complain that they have been subjected to harassment by the MRT authorities because of their desire for the schools to continue providing an education in the Romanian language, using the Latin script, and in accordance with the Moldovan curriculum.
